Since its inception in 1970, Vaughan Lee House has enjoyed Charitable Status. This may seem incompatible with its position as a Limited Company but it does mean that we benefit from a degree of protection for the business, while making no profit. We must ensure that the home remains financially viable and all earnings are used for the benefit of residents, staff and the upkeep and constant improvement of facilities. No dividend is paid out and shareholders/trustees give us £1 in order to give of their services.
The home enjoys the considerable generosity of volunteers, in addition to the benefit of ongoing financial support from the Gooch Charitable Trust. We are most grateful to all who offer their time and energies or their financial assistance.
